lghtngyello03 Posted January 6, 2020 Posted January 6, 2020 (edited) Finally I can call this one finished! I’m super pleased with the results of this build, and the 3 month process was totally worth it. Nothing was overly complicated and it all went together like any Tamiya kit ever made. Lots of detail went into this build. Many, many, countless hours of self made carbon fiber decals on the interior, exterior, and underbody were completed to make the details possible. This was a kit that I had in my stash for many years and was kind of afraid of messing it up and not building it the way it should be built. The body was primed in Tamiya White primer, then sprayed with Zero Paints Pennzoil Skyline Pearl Yellow, with Splash Paints Beluga Black on the bottom, and finally topped off with Splash Paints 2k Clear coat after all decals were laid down. The decals were a new production from Shunko and are awesome to work with and take the 2k clear very well. The chassis/interior was sprayed with decanted Tamiya Bare Metal Silver, and all other parts are various Tamiya Acrylics. The carbon fiber decals used are Tamiya Fine Weave Carbon Fiber, and Scale Motorsports Carbon Kevlar Basketweave. All of the interior wiring/plumbing was self made with various colors of wires. The racing harness is a Eduard PhotoEtch piece and adds lots of detail to a build, and not that complicated to put together. The wheels were sprayed with Splash Paints Beluga Black, decaled, then topped with Splash Paints 2k Clear as well. The tires were weathered using a drill and some 800 grit sandpaper. Thanks for looking. Now, on to the next build! Edited January 6, 2020 by lghtngyello03

If you can find one on eBay the prices are ridiculously high. Was super nervous about something happening on this kit that would ruin it.
