What Did You Accomplish Today? (Model Car Work)

Interior done, and body on, and mostly done. Still got some glass n stuff to put on. Dang 2K fought me every step of the way on the hood, and right side of the body. Still looks decent 😑, and first time doing seat belts.

Got my ikea skadis installed. Just temporary for now, and not sure if I’m gonna keep half of my tape up. Takes quite a bit of space, and I got more custom skadis stuff from Etsy on the way.

Whilst various glued parts of the greenhouse are drying, I've started the Italeri BJ44 Land Cruiser.

As two tops come with the kit, I'm painting and test fitting both..

And painting the other what would be a fixed hardtop..

And started the chassis...

A bit of a change of direction!

Actually yesterday, but anyway:

I started on this V8 Custom Corvair build in 2020 and botched the paint so I shelved it. Now I'm back on it and close to completion.
Paint is on and ready for some light buffing and adding accessories.

I've been working on this trio of vans. The Chevy is the Foxy Box issue cut down to a shorty. Chassis and floor plate are cut too so getting closer to assembly. The Ford is a Matilda van that the previous owner hacked the roof out of, as well as all the cargo doors. When I say hacked, I mean it. I glued all the doors back in and made some repairs. I'm trying to decide what to do with the roof. (I subbed in a Coke van body to the otherwise minty Matilda box).

The Dodge was a late night feepay buy, and though it was really cheap, it was really rough, too. I've determined it has to be the MPC 78 Krazy van based on it's unique configuration. (It's also marked Fundimensions 1977 on the chassis.) Since it was  such a glue bomb I decided to shorten it as well. I have a Turtle Wax issue that will donate most of the rest of the parts. Chassis is unusable.  I'm no expert at this hackery stuff but I'll get it done!

Got the ride height figured out on my tribute build here for Snake..... and Thanks to Tom, the wheel setup is finalized. It's four of the rears from the Smoothster kit. Also working on the engine and one piece rear end.

I finally finalized (I Think) my wheel rims and disc brake setup for my tubbed ‘32 five window project. 🙂 I’ve been fiddling with it for three days now casting various resin wheel & brake rotor & caliper combinations.🥵🥵🥵

Had a little problem with my Ferrari GTO seat. But now repaired. Was supposed to be blue but now natural terracotta.

Used to call interior like this "Lion Trainer Interior".

Aalmost finished spray bombing 7 kits for OOB builds that don't need polish or foil so I can do some builds after upcoming shoulder surgery.

The only problem was the new can of brown as a base for wood effect. It came out looking like a bath-towel texture, not the glossy brown it is labeled.

I got back to work on the Hasagawa Type 2 VW pick up after a long vacation. I got the body and other parts primed. I dechromed the bumpers and smoothed them out. I also primed the Finks Garage VW Hurst front bumper guard. I also paint detailed the DiOlex Production Empi Sprintstar wheels.
