Lownslow Posted August 14, 2024 Posted August 14, 2024 Finished a 65 gto interior and working on the custom hard cover vert boot 2
JollySipper Posted August 14, 2024 Posted August 14, 2024 Painted the Z/28 over the last two days.......... Yesterday was primer day, today paint and clear. I'll be using the white stripes, and the interior is in an above post painted black.... 3
TransAmMike Posted August 15, 2024 Posted August 15, 2024 Well I finally got the Nova painted...Mr. Hobby gold over a dark clear red. Not polished, and not sure yet if hi-gloss clear 5
Brudda Posted August 15, 2024 Posted August 15, 2024 Just finished last night installing the pins for the interior cover on the cobra. They are really small. Here is a size comparison with a dime. And they only give you the exact amount. Do not lose one. The pins are the size of the “I” in liberty in the dime. This is 1/24. I do not know how the 1/43 guys even see anything. 4
Brudda Posted August 17, 2024 Posted August 17, 2024 Just about finished. Windshield was a bear. As tough as this mfh kit was, I still loved to build this. You do not see many completed. 5
PatW Posted August 17, 2024 Posted August 17, 2024 (edited) Painted wheels and body and added rear windscreen a right pain! A scratchbuilt chassis as the original was used on a Nascar Tradesman's Truck last year! Edited August 17, 2024 by PatW 2

Ace-Garageguy Posted August 17, 2024 Posted August 17, 2024 Screeded some Tamiya white putty into the pinholes on the new f'glass decklid for my Sock It To Me M/SP Corvette. Pretty exciting, eh? 1 1
MeatMan Posted August 18, 2024 Posted August 18, 2024 I'll do Bill one better. Put the caps on the wheels to my Crosley fuel altered. ? 1
Falcon Ranchero Posted August 18, 2024 Posted August 18, 2024 Bought the amt 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona kit; a neat find. It’ll be a while before I build it as I have a ‘61 Galaxie show car waiting in the wings. But it’s an accomplishment just getting it. 1
JollySipper Posted August 23, 2024 Posted August 23, 2024 I finally finalized the direction I wanted to go with this build........ The reason it has been an off-again on-again project is it lacked direction. Just need to mount the engine, then I can glue everything down for good. Forgive the dust, that will be cleaned before the Under Glass post, I promise! 4
Pete J. Posted August 24, 2024 Posted August 24, 2024 (edited) Ok, I've been at the bench again after some frustrating time off for health issues. Got these done for our local club auction(all proceeds to the club). The rims are machined on my Sherline mill and lathe. They are each made of three pieces of 7075 aluminum. The lugs are machined by RB motion. The tires are parts from the scrap box. The Goodyears were painted on with a stencil that I bought many years ago in Japan. The axles were machined to the type that Tamiya uses. It feels good to be back at the bench. Edited August 24, 2024 by Pete J. 7
Bainford Posted August 24, 2024 Posted August 24, 2024 (edited) Good to see you back at it, Pete. Don't know if it's just me but I can't see the photo. Sounds awesome though. Edit: I see them now. They look fantastic. That's a very nice set of slots. Edited August 24, 2024 by Bainford 1

Wow - sounds like you know more about it than I do! But yes, I think so ? This’ll be a fairly involved project…not many kitbashable parts to use for a 3 wheeled English fibreglass micro-van from the 70s. I DID print some tiny 10” steel wheels for it today though… 5

I DID print some tiny 10” steel wheels for it today though… Funny story how I know that; a few years ago I was looking through the pages of an AutaBuy magazine and one of the cars for sale was this car and the ad title was "1973 Reliant Regal Supervan Robin 3 Delivery Microcar" and I thought that was such an odd name for a car, and it just stuck with me; refering to that name makes me sound smarter ? 2

I also got the fender painted for the C1 Models Beetle fender scooter Tamiya Red. I hope to have it all in clear soon? 2
