Started an other build wanted some thing relatively quick so I will make an obb on this second hand kit I got. Have a problem with one of the front wheels though and the seats are missing the bottom part of it. The original wheel must have been lost because one Fuchs wheel is different shape and it have drilled holes and a flat back instead of the fujimi wheel hub. Might live with it and just make it work. To bad about the seat though would have been nice to have a stock interior instead of race seats. Or I might do the Japanese thing and put one race seat and one oem, and even throw a Japanese palate on it!
got the body mostly cleaned up and glued the bumpers so I can fit everything and sand the parts as I like them.

The boring tedious part. Removing parts from sprue, cleanup and mounting them to craft sticks/toothpicks for painting. Have to stop at my LHS for some Tamiya TS29 later (fingers crossed they have it!).

It doesn't warrant starting a WIP thread as it's such a simple little kit and I'm hoping it will be under glass very soon:

1:43 Heller Renault Alpine A310 kit

Most recent arrival and I made a start on it just before Christmas, knowing I'd have a bit of time to hopefully get something very simple on and off the bench.

Status as of this evening.

Sadly it appears the bodyshell got squashed at some point. I need to do a bit of strategic bending and perhaps reinforcement before the foil trim goes on.

A310 cool cars. Airfix 1/24 is simple as well, but looks great. It may be a reboxed motorized kit iirc, haven’t seen one in ages.

I've been lucky to see a few 1:1 examples in France when we've been on holiday there.

I have the 1:24 kit as well, but it has widened rear arches to approximate the look of a competition car. I'd prefer to convert it back to standard, but that's a project that's beyond me at present....

I found a pic of your build iirc. Neat cars, there was a late Boulogne package with normal flares, and a Fleischman conversion with kit style fenders. I’m just glad we got a 1/24.

Well I’d say that’s a bit of an improvement!? Fabulous work Steven!?

How did you do the translucent part of the wheel? Looks killer. I’ve got the kit, have a couple clear sw rims around here, but kit not handy to look.
Stellar, Steve.
Learned to drive in a 64 B’ville convert, 389/auto. Cleaned the ashtray when I detailed it. Lol

The Steering wheel came from the Moebius ‘61 Ventura/Catalina kit.

I modified it by thinning and slightly tapering the spokes, grinding down the center, and then adding my own scratch made spoke detail and center hub.

The acrylic wheel itself was easily “discolored” slightly by spraying a coat of Testors clear enamel over it.

I knew I’d find a practical use for that stuff someday. ?

The last two nights I started mocking up an other project.. I don’t know why but it’s how usually do. Will see if I manage to finish it now or if it will boxed again when the height and 4wd is engineered.
The front have been raised around 6,5” to get the right height that I want.  So far the upper arms are mounted lower on the frame and the spindles are extended to come up to the total height. Next is to glue the engine and place the differential. Will try to place it centered so I can get better articulation. And I think I will make new lower aarms with mounts.

I got this rotating column attachment for my mill on Friday. I did some playing around with it, today. It will definitely be more convenient than setting up the angle milling attachment. The subject at hand is a rejected Donovan 417 casting, just for fun...

I know it's not that exciting as everything here, but I managed to get the work bench clear of all non-modeling "stuff". I can actually see the surface and the 2 or 3 stalled project in behind the everything that was there. Quite proud of myself. How long it stays this way is another thing.

While cutting the inside grid from 4 stackable segments for my food dehydrator I heard what sounded like an egg shell cracking... and the sound was coming from under my foot. I had put the plastic body (being restored) for an original 1960 Buick HT inside the dehydrator to check out the space and clearance. Must have pulled the steering wheel, that I had recently cleaned up, from the kit box while getting the Buick body out. Yepper...was in multiple pieces and flatter than a pancake. Took some time to get the pieces back together and the steering column where it belonged relative to the steering wheel and now the glue is drying and the assembly propped up correctly.  I am not even going to think about moving the steering wheel until tomorrow!  ??

I use a high end OKI printer with a iron based ink. Nothing ground breaking other than expensive ink.....white is $300 a cart.

Blam! And I thought my ink was expensive! Used to be $90, now 200 for all the cartridges.

What wheels are those?

Went down to the workbench and moved some stuff around. Rinsed some chrome parts I put in the pond last week sometime. Took a couple of WIP pics for the CBP I’m working on. I’m finding it harder and harder to get motivated to work on anything lately.
