SnozzaP Posted January 14, 2020 Posted January 14, 2020 Hey everyone So my local hobby store has just started stocking the premium airbrush range from Vallejo. Now on the Vallejo website it says this paint is for fiberglass/ Lexan and a few others but doesn’t mention styrene. I would like to use this for their Black as it comes in big bottles Have any of you guys used it? If so how is it? Does it react with styrene? What primer did you use? thanks in advance
LL3 Model Worx Posted January 14, 2020 Posted January 14, 2020 Shouldn't hurt styrene at all as its water based... Seems the same thing as "Wicked Colors" or Createx... just a highly pigmented acrylic urethane. Test on some scrap but I'm betting its ok...
peteski Posted January 14, 2020 Posted January 14, 2020 Water-based paint should not affect polystyrene. Not sure why they fail to mention that the paint is compatible with it.
