Bucky Posted January 18, 2020 Posted January 18, 2020 I got this project from Sam I Am as a Dust Collector Trade (stalled projects) This is a kitbash between a Little Red Wagon (Dodge A-110) and a Dodge Viper. Sam started blending the two together, and I'll attempt to put some sort of spin on it here in Tennessee. Everything you see in the above photo was done on Sam's workbench. I may pester him a bit for more ideas as I go along. I already have one helper onboard.....
stitchdup Posted January 18, 2020 Posted January 18, 2020 Cool project. A stretched viper front grille would go well in the opening and its already a similar shape.
Sam I Am Posted January 18, 2020 Posted January 18, 2020 Yea, I should have kept the rest of the viper for some styling cues...but hindsight. Just glad to have someone see something in my stalled build and run with it.
Bucky Posted January 18, 2020 Author Posted January 18, 2020 I may have an old Viper kit laying around to borrow stuff from.
Tom Geiger Posted January 18, 2020 Posted January 18, 2020 How are you planning on handling the big gap on either edge of the interior? That's the big issue I see right now.

That's the big issue I see right now. This is the Viper interior shell assembled as it comes out of the Viper kit, sitting in the cab of the A-100: As you can see, there is some empty space all around between Viper parts and A-100 parts. I decided to spread things out a bit: I cut along each side of the console, separating into three pieces. Using strip and sheet styrene, I will expand the interior into a wider piece to take up some of the space in the cab: This is just an experimental mockup at the moment.
Bucky Posted January 19, 2020 Author Posted January 19, 2020 I cut this blank out of .040" sheet styrene: This will end up being part of the interior when I'm finished......I hope! LOL
Sam I Am Posted January 19, 2020 Posted January 19, 2020 I was thinking the same thing with the interior tub. Now I am eagerly awaiting where you are going with that blank.

If I mess up this blank, I have more sheet styrene available! LoL One question I have is, what did you use for filler on the frame rails?
Sam I Am Posted January 19, 2020 Posted January 19, 2020 I believe it was squadron gray putty. This was before I realized that a catalyzed glazing putty was better. My apologies...
Bucky Posted January 19, 2020 Author Posted January 19, 2020 No problem. Just like to know what I'm working with. LoL
Bucky Posted January 20, 2020 Author Posted January 20, 2020 (edited) I have the interior tub pieced together: The black markings show where the inside dimensions were when I started. Much less gap around it, now. And....here's the blank after a few minutes work.... Edited January 20, 2020 by Bucky Added content
Tom Geiger Posted January 20, 2020 Posted January 20, 2020 Great work in a short amount of time! Nice solution

Bucky Posted January 20, 2020 Author Posted January 20, 2020 Maybe it hasn't had enuff time to cure! LOL
