lordorion1974 Posted February 21, 2020 Posted February 21, 2020 Here's one of the first (actually third) models I finished when I got back into building model kits after a long stint of wargaming miniatures. The color is Testors Tropical Turquoise that my wife picked out. Built this one straight from the box.
TarheelRick Posted February 21, 2020 Posted February 21, 2020 Good looking Ford truck. That color fits it very well, looks like something a high school kid or a low-buck hot-rodder would put together. I like it.
lordorion1974 Posted February 21, 2020 Author Posted February 21, 2020 Thanks guys! I've always liked the '50s turquoise as well, especially paired with a white interior. Luckily when we redid the front room, this truck fit the color scheme of the room and it was given public shelf space!
espo Posted February 21, 2020 Posted February 21, 2020 Very nice clean looking pickup. The color is period perfect also. Many years ago I worked with a guy that had a '53 in a light blue color. I think the body of this kit is about as close as anything being done today. The Hemi engine looks great also.
Plowboy Posted February 21, 2020 Posted February 21, 2020 That's a good looking Ford pickup! Hard to believe how old this kit is.
bisc63 Posted February 29, 2020 Posted February 29, 2020 Cool pickup; and the color choice suits it nicely. Well done!
cobraman Posted February 29, 2020 Posted February 29, 2020 I have to agree with everyone above , very nice !
