spencer1984 Posted March 12, 2020 Posted March 12, 2020 This was my entry for the 2020 Cannonball Run CBP, starting life as an eBay gluebomb and rebuilt as the titular car from the 1967 cult classic Hot Rods to Hell. Not a show-winner by any stretch, but considering what it started as I'm pretty happy with the results. As always, C&C's welcome! My starting point for this project: Full write-up available here.
Dave Van Posted March 12, 2020 Posted March 12, 2020 That one is one my movie car build list. VERY nice work!!!!
disconovaman Posted March 12, 2020 Posted March 12, 2020 Are you kidding!?! It's unbelievable that you pulled off such a great build in what little time you've had... I love it! Geez man, I've gotta get cracking! ? Everything about it is perfect! I'm mindwarped!
Dave Darby Posted March 12, 2020 Posted March 12, 2020 My comment is I love it, and my only criticism is that it resides in the wrong zip code. I'd be much happier with it in mine!
'70 Grande Posted March 12, 2020 Posted March 12, 2020 Lots to love about this build! I especially like the wheels and tires choice; well done!
cobraman Posted March 12, 2020 Posted March 12, 2020 Very nice. Saw the movie several times. If I remember right there should be a blonde hanging on to the rollbar !

Good point, I should work on my figure painting skills!
Chitown Posted March 13, 2020 Posted March 13, 2020 That's so cool! I've always liked that car since seeing the movie as a kid years ago. Great job!
Nazz Posted March 14, 2020 Posted March 14, 2020 Definitely needs a blond hanging on the rollbar! Well done Bill.
Lunajammer Posted March 14, 2020 Posted March 14, 2020 A great sentimental revival. It's a fun subject, made more fun by replicating the movie car. Thanks for sharing.
Koellefornia Kid Posted March 15, 2020 Posted March 15, 2020 Great build, Bill! Good luck for the race!
Ace-Garageguy Posted May 26, 2021 Posted May 26, 2021 (edited) I missed this one when it was then, but now, since it's now...very nice. Good rendition of the real car... Edited May 26, 2021 by Ace-Garageguy
