bh1701 Posted March 14, 2020 Posted March 14, 2020 I completed my 1960 Ford Thunderbird - a 1/32nd scale AMT kit. The exterior is Testor's Honduras Maroon. Only 20 parts to this kit. All of the chrome details were painted by hand. The hardest thing about this kit was the white plastic tires - painting them black while still leaving the base white color of the plastic to represent the whitewalls. Thanks for looking! Bart
shoopdog Posted March 14, 2020 Posted March 14, 2020 Looks fantastic! Your hand painted trim looks very nice.

peekay Posted March 14, 2020 Posted March 14, 2020 Beautifully built! Although basic, this kit seems to be a very credible representation of the real thing.
Erik Smith Posted March 15, 2020 Posted March 15, 2020 Very cool. Nice work. I’m working on the same kit, red too!
bisc63 Posted March 15, 2020 Posted March 15, 2020 Shouldn't have mentioned the scale, most would never have believed it to be anything other than 1/25! Just a beautiful model, and doesn't that color just finish it off perfectly?!
Modlbldr Posted March 15, 2020 Posted March 15, 2020 Beautiful looking model. I really like the picture from the rear. What a lot of detail in that shot. Nice job. Later-
High octane Posted March 15, 2020 Posted March 15, 2020 Very nice job on that Bird Bart as I've been lookin' at those AMT 1/32 scale kits to start my grandson on "glue kits," however his wouldn't come close to your build as he's been workin' on Snap Tite kits and hasen't done any painting or glue assembly as yet. Of course he's only 6 1/2 years old.
