stinkybritches Posted March 26, 2020 Posted March 26, 2020 Are the Autoart latemodel Mustang Mach 1's regarded highly enough that they bring $200-300? I bought the 2004 version in Dark Shadow Gray when they were in production. I was looking for a 2003 version to strip and paint Dark Shadow Gray ( to match the real car sitting in my garage ) and found these on Ebay: https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=autoart+2003+mustang+mach+1&_trksid=p2334524.m4084.l1313.TR1.TRC0.A0.H0.Xautoart+mustang+mach+1.TRS0&_osacat=0&_odkw=autoart+mustang+mach+1 Is this truly what they are going for or is this just Ebay crazy pricing?
randyc Posted March 26, 2020 Posted March 26, 2020 You can filter the category to see only the SOLD items to see what they are really selling for. Looks like $107 - $325. Of late, seems like best way to buy is find one on auction and see where it goes. Sometimes on auction they can stay reasonable. I sold a Cobra LE edition of some sort for like $80 with no box and missing a few parts. A buddy found it at a consignment store for next to nothing. Cleaned it up, repaired as possible and sold it as-is.
stinkybritches Posted March 26, 2020 Author Posted March 26, 2020 Thanks for the info, Randy. I didn't even think about looking at the sold items. I was just shocked to see the starting bid/buy-it-now price. Almost made me want to put mine out there.
vamach1 Posted March 26, 2020 Posted March 26, 2020 I forgot exactly how much they were new but I seem t recall at least $150. I have the yellow 72 Mach and 03 Mach1. I hate t say this but if you wait another month you might see prices drop as people start to sell off some things. I picked up a Maisto 03 Cobra off Ebay for a good price a few months ago at about half of what some were listed. I am crossing my fingers that the All Ford show in June @ Carlisle will still happen as they are always vendors up this with hard to find models and diecast for sale at reasonable prices This is going to be an interesting summer for sure for car and model shows. I've been watching old episodes of My Classic Car and other shows that used to be on Speedvision and of course building models. Good luck in your search.
stinkybritches Posted March 27, 2020 Author Posted March 27, 2020 I'm sure I paid between $150 to $200 for the '04 version. I bought the '04 because Autoart did not offer the '03 in gray. Now, all these years later, I really want a truer representation of my actual car. It was shocking to see the prices listed on Ebay. I will keep checking the listings to try to find a good deal. Thanks everyone.
