afx Posted April 1, 2020 Posted April 1, 2020 Dirt track racing is what got me excited early both about racing and modeling. The Ford dealership my Dad worked for sponsored one of the cars and he would take me to the races occasionally . There was vendor at the track that sold built-up models painted like the local racers. All those MPC super stockers! I used to droll over those models. Thanks for posting this Scott.
TarheelRick Posted April 1, 2020 Posted April 1, 2020 Some very nice looking dirt trackers. Saved a few to my "Would like to build file".

No problem, my dad was a big drag racer and i the first race i went to i was about 6/7 years old and was instantly hooked. Nothing compares to vintage auto racing. Edited April 1, 2020 by Scott8950

I like seeing some body styles like the Mustangs and Camaros that I was used to seeing in SCCA type racing. A few even look like a Sprint Car with a passenger car body mounted on it. They all look very competitive, I'll bet those were some great races.
