I'm finding myself in need of brake rotors and running out of kits to rob them from. I found a seller on ebay but I think they're recasting Hobby Design parts so I'm hesitant to buy them.

I've used hardware store washers for rotors with reasonable success. If you're looking for nice calipers Replicas & Miniatures has five different styles available: Large Racing, Small Racing, 60s Street Rod, Modern Street Rod, and Racing Sports Car.

That is actually a great idea, I'll take a look at those calipers.

I have turned my own rotors out of styrene sheet on a lathe. Then scratch built some calipers. 

Another option is pegasus rotors/calipers. They only really fit a modern style build though.
