maltsr
Here's my version of the 1/24 Monogram 1934 Duesenberg SJ Torpedo Phaeton in all its glory, painted in two shades of Tamiya Metallic Blue. I had to scratch build the upper engine due to a missing part, which took a few hours, 12 pieces of styrene and 13 bits of brass rod. RomanII
I think I have to buy another Monogram Duesenberg kit now. Your color choices are outstanding, topped only by the cleanliness of the build. Congratulations on a beautiful model.

espo
In the 1:1 world these always seemed so elegant looking, and with the way you used different colors you did the same with this build. I have know idea what all you had to do on the engine but it looks factory to my eyes. Almost expect to see Clark Gabel or some other movie star leaning on the fender.

Eric Macleod
Once upon a time there was a question on this forum asking us which kit we would choose to build if we could only build one. This kit would be my choice, hands down. I have probably built this kit more than any other, but never as well as this. Can you tell us about the hand nuts you made for the camshaft covers. They look great. Very nice model overall that was nicely photographed. Thanks for posting it.

The nuts are simply 0.032 brass rod inserted into pre-drilled holes, the camera and paint seem to augment their appearance somewhat!
