Quarantine Build #2 complete.  Revell Snap Tite Max Ford Raptor 1:25 Scale.

This is a super nice kit for a Snap Tite. I tried to finish it as close to a 1:1 that I could using many reference pictures.

It is painted using Scale Finishes Ford Blue Flame Metallic, cleared using Splash Paints 2k clear coat, and polished out using automotive polishes. The fender flares, bumpers, and air dam are painted with Tamiya Acrylic Gunmetal, no clear on top of these. All other parts are painted with various Tamiya Acrylics. It has 35” Scenes Unlimited BFG Mud-Terrains and I also added a spray in bed liner to help on the details.

Soon to be a tow rig, so be on the lookout for more posts of this one with a trailer as soon as I get it built up.

Scott, that came out awesome.  Well done.  Makes me want to give this kit a try.

Thank you very much Jim. This is a really well put together kit. I wouldn’t hesitate to build another one.

One of the nicest looking Raptors I've seen yet! I really like the color and the headlight detail really makes this model stand out! Nice work!

Beautiful build Scott. I really like the correct choice of color for the fender flares and grill. Ive been taking notes on how you built yours. Mine should be showing up tomorrow. I need to order my wheels from SU.

Nice looking Raptor. I bought several of those kits to rob the wheels and tires off of. Now I think I have to build one of them. Yours looks great, the blue is perfect for it. Nice job on all of the details and extra painting. The bed liner looks terrific.

Thank you very much Tom. It bugged me a little to see all these built with black flares and bumpers. It looks good, but my ocd was killing me lol. Glad I could inspire someone to build this kit. You won’t be disappointed. It builds up very easily and comes out with fantastic results as you can see.

Jeff, thank you very much. The bed-liner was a first time for me. I have used this same method on a vinyl roof for a 70 Monte Carlo and it looked like it’d fit the bill for the spray in liner. You should build one of yours, you won’t be disappointed.

This build shows every bit of the potential of these often-overlooked kits. Beautiful.

Thank you!  This has made me look at other kits as well to see how nice they could build up.
