Joe Thomas Posted May 5, 2020 Posted May 5, 2020 Built this when it first came out, restored in 2016. 1
cobraman Posted May 5, 2020 Posted May 5, 2020 Looks good. It sure would be nice to have this kit back again.
Snake45 Posted May 5, 2020 Posted May 5, 2020 Very, VERY cool! I did one very similar in 1969. Do you have any other old survivor builds you've restored? I LOVE these things!
Scott8950 Posted May 5, 2020 Posted May 5, 2020 (edited) Now I've gotta dig mine out ?.. Very nice job. Edited May 5, 2020 by Scott8950
shoopdog Posted May 6, 2020 Posted May 6, 2020 Extremely nice build of a subject that at least I haven't seen built.
TarheelRick Posted May 6, 2020 Posted May 6, 2020 I remember building this kit when it was new. Mine didn't look as good as yours though; mainly lots of glue and white styrene. Very nice restoration.
stevez Posted May 6, 2020 Posted May 6, 2020 what kit is that? has it been re-released? as a drag car?
Daddyfink Posted May 7, 2020 Posted May 7, 2020 11 hours ago, stevez said: what kit is that? has it been re-released? as a drag car? It is an AMT 1968 Ford Falcon kit. Could be built as a Factory Stock, Drag Car or Custom. Tooling was then updated to a 69 And then turned into a Modified Stocker, and thus guaranteeing that we will never probably see a stock one again.

stevez Posted May 7, 2020 Posted May 7, 2020 I guess you have to spend like $200 on the bay to find the original.

Rodent Posted May 8, 2020 Posted May 8, 2020 Never had any of the Falcons other than a 64 convertible built-up that I acquired in 1988 or so. Looking at online 66-69 instruction sheets, it looks like none could be built stock. Looks like an FE-like blob with Webers is the stock engine. Does that sound right to those of you who have seen one?
