64Comet404 Posted May 14, 2020 Posted May 14, 2020 This build could almost count as an Amnesty build, as its been under construction for so long. I bought this kit (the old Monogram 308 racer) from the sale table at a local hobby shop in 2007. The interior had been partially, and badly, assembled when I picked it up. I had begun painting and assembly back then, but ended up misplacing some pieces during a move. I found the missing parts recently, and have had the opportunity to finish this kit. Paint is Tamiya TS-56 orange, which is their version of McLaren orange, with a interior of AS-15 tan and black. The wheels, tires, and brakes are from a Rossi Ferrari 512TR, with the wheels and body trim in TS-40 metallic black. The side and back windows are tinted with Tamiya smoke. Apart from an Ontario license plate and a NNL East plate frame, there are no aftermarket pieces used on this build. Enjoy!
Italianhorses Posted May 14, 2020 Posted May 14, 2020 Monogram had surprisingly correct shape for a 308 while a lot of others who made this kit didn't. Unusual to see this one on orange!
Jon Cole Posted May 15, 2020 Posted May 15, 2020 Hey, that is really sharp. I like the orange w/ black wheels.
beeRS Posted May 17, 2020 Posted May 17, 2020 Great to see one in orange. Probably one of my favourite Ferraris. I built this one as a kid, but your build is about a million times better than mine.
Kruzn Posted May 17, 2020 Posted May 17, 2020 Very nice! I used the same kit to build street version w/o the racer parts.
Dann Tier Posted May 20, 2020 Posted May 20, 2020 VERY cool!!!!....nice job detail painting the 308 on the back there!!!
