Italianhorses Posted May 16, 2020 Posted May 16, 2020 Finished this little roadster couple of days ago. Built box-stock (except for some seatbelts), airbrushed decanted TS-9 British Racing Green, 2K clear, custom mix of Tamiya acrylics for the interior. Not the best Tamiya kit, but can be made to look good on the shelf.
89AKurt Posted May 17, 2020 Posted May 17, 2020 Came out perfect, which I expect from you now. ? Very nice photography too.

Funkychiken Posted May 17, 2020 Posted May 17, 2020 It's like 1 kit finished every day! Really sharp looking mod, how do you keep duat out of your gloss coat? Do you shoot outside, or on doors?
Dragonhawk1066 Posted May 17, 2020 Posted May 17, 2020 Nice! Love the color combo. Looks really good "with the top down".

Do you shoot outside, or on doors? Ha, not every day, but I've been on a one per week or so pace for a couple of months now! Which is awesome. Not sure what you mean about the dust - if I get some in the clear, I wet sand it, then polish the clear. I spray only outside. 11 hours ago, Dragonhawk1066 said: Nice! Love the color combo. FabbricaP Posted May 19, 2020 Posted May 19, 2020 (edited) Beautiful! Looks like it belongs in a Tamiya catalog. BRG works great on this car. BTW, will you start updating your website with your new builds? Edited May 19, 2020 by FabbricaP

BTW, will you start updating your website with your new builds? Appreciate it. As far as the website goes - I don't think it can be updated at this point. That website was created in the early 2000's and the way it is written, coded, and setup is simply not easy to update anymore. It needs a complete re-write, and I don't have the expertise to do it myself, or the means to pay a professional to do it - I'm paying server costs to keep it alive as a legacy site already! Eric Macleod Posted May 26, 2020 Posted May 26, 2020 (edited) I followed the build up and now the finished product. Absolutely beautiful model of my favorite car in one of my favorite colors. Thanks for sharing this with us. Wait...did I read a model per week pace? I can barely do one per year! One a week, especially of this caliber is stunning. iamsuperdan Posted May 26, 2020 Posted May 26, 2020 Wow. As always, stunning paintwork. Are the knife and the paint brush specifically for photos? lolz. Mine were only ever that clean once.

One a week, especially of this caliber is stunning. Thank you, really appreciate it. I have just finished number 6 since starting on April 1st. So not quite one per week pace, but I guess close to it. its fun and quick when you build these puppies box-stock and don't have to worry much about adding detail and researching color options - its all in the box/instruction sheet. Especially with Tamiya kits and quick drying paints. Clean, paint, assemble. 1 hour ago, iamsuperdan said: Wow. As always, stunning paintwork. Xacto is sort of new-ish...I had to clean it with thinner to get all the crud off. Thanks! 1 hour ago, Scalper said: Great work.. super clean and brilliant paint work Thank you!
