AMT 1955 Chevy Truck Stepside - Something a little different

This is from the Hot Trucks three kit pack.

The color is Duplicolor Patriot Blue Metallic with 2K Clear.

I've been looking for a rig to put my gold Cragars on.  I think I found it.

That’s really cool!   Since you are still at early stage of build I’ll warn you about a shortcoming of the kit. The bottom of the interior is what you see from the bottom. Fit it into the body and you will see the gap on the sides and back. You can see up into the doors! The quick fix is to cut a thin piece of sheet plastic to match the underside of the truck and laminate to interior bottom.  And also there is a step down at each door. Makes a major difference!

That looks really good so far. One of these days, I'll have to try some 2K clear. You have achieved an excellent finish with it.

The lack of interior steps is something that has always bothered me about this kit, and if it can be addressed at this stage, it will only make your build better.
