Velom 1/144 Fokker E.III Eindecker.

First plane I've finished in about 10 years. Simple kit with minimal rigging.
First plane I've rigged also.

Just THINKING about rigging a model that small makes my brain hurt!

Sitting on the Pontiac, looks like a 1/6 scale RC model! B)

Well done and model on! B)

Thanks Snake,

I checked my stash and do have a nice D-VII , It's a 1/48 Roden  kit and I even have some photoetch and aftermarket decals for it.

I think it's gonna wait 'till I get more practice with this stuff first though. It's quite a complex looking kit in itself and I want to do it justice.

Fantastic model, especially given it's less than 2 inches long with a 2.6 inch wingspan!

I used to build aircraft but I would have never thought about doing one in that scale that required rigging. Very well done.

The little Eindecker looks great Steve. The rigging is impressive, especially considering the scale! You might add a radio transmitter!  That reminds me, I have a Bleriot around here somewhere. I may have to post it. I love the RC idea, I may have to try it myself.

Nicely Done!

I can't imagine working with rigging on that scale. Some of the 1:25 details are a bit challenging for me.

When I saw your plane on top of the Pontiac, I also immediately thought it would make a good RC plane for a 1:25 diorama.

Some time back I started building a 1/144 fighter of some kind (might have been a Hellcat), intending to do it as a 1/6 scale RC model in the bed of an El Camino. This would probably require some sort of "transport cradle" to be built for the airplane, but that would all be part of the fun. In real life, the RC model would probably be built in two main pieces, wings and fuselage/tail, that would be transported that way and assembled at the flying field.

That is true Snake, but some of us who fly would transport the aircraft in one piece in the back of their wagon. Being the space was available.
