gseeds Posted June 28, 2020 Posted June 28, 2020 Here’s one the I built a few years ago , curb side build , A 1970’s Style low rider 1977 Camaro, custom paint , MRC cragars 5:20’s tires And slammed to the table !!
Spottedlaurel Posted June 28, 2020 Posted June 28, 2020 Interesting to see one of these given the lowrider treatment, looks really good.
peteski Posted June 29, 2020 Posted June 29, 2020 (edited) Very nice model, but '70s style!? I don't recall seeing any slammed low-riders in the '70s. Back then the usual customization was to jack up the rear axle and put some big rubber on the rims. I had a '76 Camaro and that's what I did back then (well, in the '80s in my case). Louvers on the back window as also a popular mod. Edited June 29, 2020 by peteski
mustang1989 Posted June 29, 2020 Posted June 29, 2020 I've never seen a T-Topped Camaro with no spoiler on the back but I've gotta say that you made this one look like a million bucks. Great job Gary.
espo Posted June 29, 2020 Posted June 29, 2020 Great looking paint scheme as always. Few builders actually open the T-Tops on these, but it helps to see the interior detailing done on this.
vintagerpm Posted June 29, 2020 Posted June 29, 2020 Slamming it to the ground really accentuates the length of the car and artistically goes well with the slant nose. Looks fast. Great job!

Thanks peteski I’m guessing your not from Los Angeles Cal , back in the 70’’ there were plenty Camaro Lowriders running around town, also plenty of camaro’s like the pics you posted , here’s a few all built in the 1970’s Lowrider Camaro pics I even found a firebird for ya , thanks guys for the comments! peteski Posted June 29, 2020 Posted June 29, 2020 That's right Gary, I'm from the other "rigth" coast. I learned something new today.

I also owned a ‘76 Camaro around 1984 that was fixed up a lot like yours. Jacked up in the back , fat wide rear tires , 350 with a 4 speed, looked a lot like yours only mine was Painted green, cool cars !!

Yes, I had some fun back in those days (and my share of speeding tickets). Back then cops were older than me. Now, I'm the old guy and cops are all "young kids". I build and installed a computer in mine. One of its features were Night Rider style scanning lights behind the grille (if you look at the photo in my earlier post, you can barely see 5 lenses behind the grille). They were configured to scan back and forth like the ones in the Night Rider car (except they were white, not red).
