Just finished the 1967 Olds 442 by Lindberg. This kit was loads of fun to build and pretty much fell together. The only issue I had building this was the radiator support pushes the grill out and down, leaving a huge gap all around. I tried everything to make it fit, I cut it, I shaved it and even cut huge pieces out but no matter how much I cut out it would not allow the grill and bumper to sit in the fitting all the way. Leaving it out completely was the only way I could get the grill and bumper to fit without huge panel gaps all the way around. I found the wheels that come with the kit, or rather the tyres, look a bit too small, so I changed it up a bit with steels and dog dish caps. The tyres are off the Lindberg 1961 Impala, steels from the  AMT 1962 Buick Electra and the caps from the AMT 1970 Galaxie 500 police car, I only had one so had to make another three from resin. Body paint is a Ford colour, Diamond White and interior is a Rover colour, Damask Red. The hood and vent panel is just basic satin black. Enough babbling from me, here's some pictures:)

I always look forward to seeing builds of this kit since I think of it as one of Lindberg's best efforts.

Nice work on yours & kudos for casting the hubcaps you needed to achieve the look you wanted.  I don't know if you did any suspension mods but the stance looks terrific (so many kits sit "high" unless tweaked).

I've seen numerous builds of this kit on here over the years and I don't recall anyone else having the issue you did with the support piece, so I'm hoping someone can chime in and clarify the issue for any future builders.

Thanks, Monty. Yes, it's a very well made kit. The radiator support is definitely an issue. I checked to see if the chassis was in the right place, the body sitting right, everything was in the right location and I could not get that grill and bumper to sit right. Another issue is, though very small, the body tub wont reach the locating pins under the parcel shelf without some squeezing and pushing. No suspension mods, just the change of wheels. It could easily be modified just by adding taller springs or cutting them down.
