Maurice Henderson Posted November 8, 2023 Posted November 8, 2023 Bro, thanks for the advise..I'm right now building the AMT 71 Duster..I'm using the 68 Hemi Dart as part of the build..I back half the Duster chassis and use everything from the engine, interior, wheels and rear end..Decals from Slixx..The only thing I don't like is the hood scoop, I may use the Hemi Dart hood scoop..I'm not sure until I cross that bridge..If you could reply on the color of paint you used would be a great help.
Mopar2 Posted November 29, 2023 Posted November 29, 2023 Very good job..Looks spot on to me..I don't see anything wrong with your build.

Hey Maurice, I almost missed this, I used Model master Chevrolet engine Orange if I remember correctly, the car was a cross between orange and red depending on the photo you are looking at. I’d love to see your progress, is it posted on the forum?

Zippi Posted December 5, 2023 Posted December 5, 2023 Just a Great job on the Butch Leal California Flash Duster Roger. Very nice workmanship.
TarheelRick Posted December 5, 2023 Posted December 5, 2023 As the others have said this is a very well built Pro-stock. Did the sub-frame connectors come with the kit or did you install them yourself?

Did the sub-frame connectors come with the kit or did you install them yourself? I made them from Evergreen .100 x .100 square polystyrene from the hobby shop, item #175. I cut the floor pan just shy of the square width and finish sand for the final fit so I don’t have to use filler. 1

Maurice Henderson Posted March 30, 2024 Posted March 30, 2024 Dragcraz Can you tell me where you purchase the decals for your build..I purchase some decals from Slixx and they are falling apart..I would appreciate Amy assistance.. 1
Maurice Henderson Posted May 21, 2024 Posted May 21, 2024 Dragcarz, I agree with you ? on your statement..I had surgery on my left thumb in February and it's still numb..I got the AMT Catalina 62 421 SD & 67 Impala on my bench right now..Having your hands work ? is essential to modeling..I can't count how many parts I have dropped because of my left hand & I'm right handed.

Hang in there Maurice, your thumb will heal, really push when you get to physical therapy, and it will come around. The human body is an amazing thing. I’m a lot better now.
