jjsipes Posted August 1, 2020 Posted August 1, 2020 Just completed my 1969 Charger Daytona. Painted it about 10 years ago and never got around to finishing it until now. I believe it was painted with MCW Light Turquoise and then clear coated and polished alittle bit. Keith Marks decals for the stripe since kit decals were messed up. Used the kit supplied 440 instead of the kit hemi. Not everything came with a hemi back in the day. Tires are AMT Parts Pak White Walls with kit supplied wheels.
doorsovdoon Posted August 1, 2020 Posted August 1, 2020 One of the nicest paint jobs I've seen on this forum, I love that colour! The car just looks amazing, very well done.
espo Posted August 1, 2020 Posted August 1, 2020 Great looking paint finish and I like the color also. Very cleanly trimmed.
Jim B Posted August 1, 2020 Posted August 1, 2020 Nice looking Charger. Color is great. Are those turn signals in the hood? Seems like they would be mildly annoying.
Dragonhawk1066 Posted August 1, 2020 Posted August 1, 2020 That's a beauty! Excellent paint job and I love the color! Very well done!
olschoolkid Posted August 2, 2020 Posted August 2, 2020 Very nice Daytona. That color is amazing and looks perfect on there.
shoopdog Posted August 2, 2020 Posted August 2, 2020 Love the color and, well, everything about this build. Paint looks flawless.
Classicgas Posted August 2, 2020 Posted August 2, 2020 She's stunning. Great color. I did mine in that as well but went with a white interior. Only 2 Daytonas were done in turquoise with white interior. Not sure how many had turquoise and black.
TooOld Posted August 2, 2020 Posted August 2, 2020 Beautiful Paint and trim work ! Very nicely done !
jjsipes Posted August 3, 2020 Author Posted August 3, 2020 (edited) Thank you all for the comments. I hate not having any work to do but, I am grateful for the time for modeling. It's been a while since I've been sleeping to get much time for models. I do want to get back to work though. Edited August 3, 2020 by jjsipes
Snake45 Posted August 3, 2020 Posted August 3, 2020 Very nice! How did you do the black stripping on the nosepiece?
