Here I am, as announced, I open a WIP on an old subaru to
be finished that I had interrupted due to damage caused by thieves
 who entered my house.??
First question:

Fix the windscreen surround first then decal. Why? I've decaled onto both gloss and matt paint. If it's a rally car with the works Subaru colours they will show up very well. Be careful that they are in good condition or they will fall apart in the water! I always spray at least two coats of clear gloss onto old decals (drying for a few hours between coats) then cafefully cutting around the decals closely before dipping into warm water and laying up.

These are laid up on a matt black paint finish.

Fix pillar, then repaint, then add GLOSS clear so decals lay down nice and smooth without silvering (where the decal sheet gets air trapped under it and shows ‘silver’ spots from being applied to a matt surface), then decal and clear if you so wish ??

Thanks guys, nice model Patrick??, I painted the car
in ts50 tamiya and with thick hands I hid the damage,
for now I work on the interior, the decals have not yet
touched them, these days I start to decalify ... ??
