TransAmMike Posted August 18, 2020 Posted August 18, 2020 Don't know if this question has been asked before, search did'nt show anything. 3D Model Specialties as seen on their website have what appear to be very highly detailed products. All scales too. Pricing varies by scale and different makers of the products. Shipping is pretty steep. Has anyone putchased from them??

Agreed, about the shipping, but not his fault. Shapeways did that on there own... https://www.shapeways.com/shops/3d-model-specialties?section=1%2F25+Scale&s=0

Jordan White Posted August 18, 2020 Posted August 18, 2020 Yeah with Shapeways you want to try to order several things in order to maximize the parts/shipping ratio.
Glen Powers Posted August 18, 2020 Posted August 18, 2020 Great variety of detail parts just wish they had a smoother finish. Glen

The only downside with the Fine Detail is it is brittle, so you have to be careful if you have to cut or shape it at all. The Accura plastic looks like you can get the same detail, with better rigidity, however it does cost a bit more. Edited August 18, 2020 by Jordan White
Dodge Driver Posted August 22, 2020 Posted August 22, 2020 Here's an axle cover from 3D Model Specialties, painted and black washed. I think the slight graininess gives the part a cast aluminum appearance. I'm pleased with how the cover looks glued on.
landman Posted August 22, 2020 Posted August 22, 2020 I have quite a few of his creations. Here's one, LS V12.
