1/25 Revell Peterbilt 359 heavy haul

Recommended Posts

Hey all

Here are a couple of pictures of the 359 Pete, 3 axle drop nose lowboy trailer and the Cat D8H.

20200928_192724.jpgthe Cat D8H looks great sitting on the 3 axle trailer. I have the trailer pretty close to being done. I've started doing some drawings with dimensions so I can print them off to use for building templates. Some parts I'm going to try and 3D print. Stuff like - air cylinders, air bags, suspension components, hydraulic power pack, glad hands for air connections, electrical connectors, rear lights, etc.

20200928_192806.jpgview from the rear, I think I'm going to modify the headache rack so I can add chains and load binders to it. Well that's it for now see you soon with more updates.

Hey all

Here is a picture of the truck, trailer and 336 excavator.

Here is a picture of the truck, trailer and a ALL NEW!!! 390FL excavator.

20200907_201341.jpgnow thats a big S.O.B. it doesn't even fit on the 4 axle trailer even with the outriggers out. It's 20' 6" from the ground up to the tallest part of the boom arm. I guess I'm going to have to design a bigger trailer.? That's it for now be back with more soon.

Hey all

Well I said I was going to design a bigger trailer and I did!  It's a 3 x 3 x 3 Rogers 3 axle drop nose lowboy with 3 axle jeep and 3 axle stinger, and it is a llooonnngg beast! Here are some pictures of it.

20201008_181732.jpghere it is with the Cat 390FL.

20201008_181637.jpghere it is from the rear with the Cat 390FL

20201008_181543.jpghere it is from the side with the Cat 390FL. You see what I mean by being long!

20201008_181757.jpghere it is from the front with the Cat D11T.

20201008_181704.jpghere it is from the rear with the Cat D11T.

20201008_181609.jpghere it is from the sude with the Cat D11T. I know, you would have to remove the stick and bucket from the 390FL and the blade from the D11T in order to haul them. Well that's it for now be back with more soon.

Hey all

I've started back on the Peterbilt 359 heavy haul tractor. I've been working on this along with my scratch built drop nose lowboy trailer. I made some new scale 28" diameter x 90" long 200 gallon fuel tanks and reworked/scratch built a new headache rack.

I made the tanks from some 3/4" pvc pipe that was actually 1.07" diameter which is 26 75" diameter so I wrapped some 0.03" plastic sheet around it to make them 28" diameter. I cut up the kit tanks so I could use the ends and the other parts for my new tanks.
