Hi!

Always loved the line of the 65 GP. So much so, that I went for a simple curbside.

Shaved emblems & door handles, alternate custom tail light from the Prestige series kit, some BMF, big wire wheels, slammed suspension, silvery pearl over lipstick red interior. Why mess with such an iconic design?

I just slightly enlarged the rear window opening, to enhance the fantastic line of the roof. As GM styling Honchos said: Longer, Lower, Wider.

Hours of fun with styrene!

Really nice build!

Hi Gary!

Coming from a Master, it is flattering.

I almost threw a multi-colur paint job on it... and then, I changed course. I just love the lines of these big Pontiac too much to create any distraction! But I have a 68 TBird on my bench that I can't wait to share with you.

Regards,

Man, that is sweet. I dig that bodystyle. My Pops had a '65 Bonneville when I was a kid, man that thing was a boat. But a sexy one.

Beautiful looking build of a very nice1:1 car. I noticed the larger rear window right away and I like the tail light treatment. Great looking stance.

My God Claude... have you slept a few hours in recent months?

I'm quite concerned about your health and want to see you in the flesh on your feet and not in intensive care...

Farce aside, that's another well built model of your own and you continue to prove your good taste my friend!

Hey! I don't see the green air valves on the tires by the way... There is a good chance they are hidden behind the fenders even if the rims are huge ?

Hi Gene!

Couldn't say it better. At my local cruise night, an old couple shows up with theirs, and the whole parking lot stares in silence as they roll in.

Or glide in, I should say!

Hi Francis!

My wife is also concerned about my mental health... and the fact that fresh builts are piling up. What can I say?

You are right, the tire stem valves could be hidden by the fenders... but no, alas, I went lazy this time and skipped on that detail. I even left off the door locking pulls at the top of the door panels, which is contrary to my habits....

Come to think of it... you may be right: maybe I'm loosing it! Let's pray to the God of Styrene for help and fortitude on my next project...

Hi David!

Thank you. The truth is I was trying to accentuate the groove of the rear window trim (too much primer and paint) to guide my XActo blade when the time to apply BMF would come,,, and it fell-off! So, when life throws you lemon, you make lemonade, as they say...

Let's pompously infer it is a "styling decision"...

nice work

Thank you Michelle!

I always follow your numerous and diverse buitls on this forum with curiosity. You show great creativity and sense of colours, in my opinion.

Model on!

What is this craziness? Where is the real Claude? It's recognisably a '65 Pontiac!

Looks excellent, certainly a car I like at 1:1.

Hi Nigel! Glad you like it.

You are right: this car is very restrained by my usual "standards" of modification/surgery.

Don't worry however. Frankenstein builds are coming soon on a forum near you!
