Just painted the side pipes. Going white. They are three pieces. Glued and putty to make it look like one.

Bruce, I have to tell you I'm glad I'm not the only one!  Mine were off like that as well.  I don't understand it.  I ended up just not using the mounting brackets, but I have faith you'll come up with a good solution.  And I think go with the flat white side pipes for sure.  They give a real nice authentic vintage look espcecially on the 427s.

Well had to relocate the holes to mount the side pipes. I just wonder how come they are soo far off. Thank you for the heads up! Should have known, always something on a mfh kit. I’m going for more punishment as I’m doing a Porsche 917/30 mfh kit. My friend Mark bought me a Moby Dick Porsche mfh kit. I believe he likes to watch me suffer.

The problematic side pipes are installed. Pretty happy with the results . Have to add some black inside the exhaust pipe but they are ok. Roll bar next

I don't think a kit that is as expensive should have fit problems. Maybe I expect too much. We are however modelers and can think through and fix these problems. I just don't think you should have to. What ever colors you decide it will be a cool looking Cobra. Pipes look right.

Excellent work, Bruce!  They look fantastic!  Did you use a flat white paint or just white primer?

Hello ! Yes it is a white automotive primer that I had at work. Dries a semi gloss. From SEM. Looked just right. Just painted the roll bar trim black. Was going to clear it but it really looks good trim black. Thank you for the heads up on the cobra. Made my build easier.

Seats are in. Belts are installed. Windshield next. Getting close to the finish line. Kind of sad because this build is very gratifying and it’s going to be over soon. I can stare at this thing for hours. Just wish I had a real one in the garage.

Looks amazing and you are probably relieved it is done and very proud.    I have been following the build but do not recall if there were side vent windows with this kit.  My 1:1 Factory Five had them but of course that does mean much since it was a replica that could be customized.  Wipers were optional. ?

Thank you vamach1. The kit did not have the vent and sun visors. It was a full comp kit. My friend Mark has a lot of mfh kits said he would get me set, but it’s ok the way it is. Everything was pretty good on the kit, but being a mfh kit, it has its problems. I loved this kit. Might even get another one to make a Shelby super snake with the radical hood and twin super chargers. Well on to the 917/30

You know I love it !  I could never do this kit justice. A man has to know his limitations !
