gjorenby Posted September 5, 2020 Posted September 5, 2020 Finally able to get back into the work office and get this one off my desk (thanks Covid). From Back To The Future II, its Doc Brown's flying Delorean! Lots of work on this one with .01mm fiber optics. The Flux Capacitor is 3 lights which flash in random sequence, fiber optics to the roof console and panel behind the drivers seat. LED for the dash gauges. Lots of fun to build! Makes a good pair with Biff's car. (Posted that one earlier.) This was the Aoshima kit.
GeeBee Posted September 5, 2020 Posted September 5, 2020 Great build, I've lost count how many times I've watched Back to the Future
carrucha Posted September 5, 2020 Posted September 5, 2020 Good job replicating an iconic movie car. The lights are a nice touch.
Mattilacken Posted September 6, 2020 Posted September 6, 2020 Awesome work! Can’t imagine the patience you have to have working with those ,01mm fiber optics!!

TonyK Posted September 6, 2020 Posted September 6, 2020 Great model! I'm very impressed with your skills and patience.
VanSpence Posted September 28, 2020 Posted September 28, 2020 The lighting is outstanding on this. I want to build one as well but have no where near that level of patience and skill! Kudos.

It was the first movie date for my wife and I when the move came out. I had the 72 Mach1 and maybe she thought it’s not a time machine but was cool nonetheless it’s still in my garage and she’s still my wife. ? I almost forgot - great build. There are some movies and cars that stand the test of time and although the real car wasn’t great it did make for a good (first) movie. I wasn’t a huge fans of the sequels but the original does take me back in time.? You need to build the VW bus next to maybe Marty’s truck or Doc’s car. ?
