Husky1943 Posted September 19, 2020 Posted September 19, 2020 Hey all! Yes, another 1932 Ford 5-window. Still hoping for a 1936 Dodge Touring Sedan with suicide doors and complete stock version. Anyhoo, I took the level 2 AMT version and tried my best to tease a nice model out of it. A lot of the parts including the front windshield and grille specifically had a very poor fitting. I had to scratchbuild the spare rack because it was either missing, lost or something. I did enjoy it, though. This time I wet-sanded/polished up the paint, but finished it with future acrylic. It came out not bad. Thoughts?
Ctmodeler Posted September 19, 2020 Posted September 19, 2020 I like how it's stock not custom. Nice work homey
bbowser Posted September 19, 2020 Posted September 19, 2020 I love seeing a stock version, great color.
doorsovdoon Posted September 19, 2020 Posted September 19, 2020 Good job making it all fit nicely, looks great.
espo Posted September 20, 2020 Posted September 20, 2020 Very clean looking build. I like the color and the finish also.
Husky1943 Posted September 20, 2020 Author Posted September 20, 2020 Thanks everyone! I much prefer stock to custom, and much prefer vintage/classic vehicles.
TarheelRick Posted September 20, 2020 Posted September 20, 2020 Very nice looking deuce coupe, would love to find something like that sitting in some little old ladies garage and she would be willing to sell it. Just wondering about the lack of taillights.
Husky1943 Posted September 21, 2020 Author Posted September 21, 2020 Thanks Lee! It is the AMT Classic 3n1 kit. It is okay, and worth the price if you can get it cheap.
OldNYJim Posted September 21, 2020 Posted September 21, 2020 Looks great! You got a nice finish out of that Future clear - what’s your technique on that? Airbrush?

Airbrush? Thanks Jim, Actually, I just used a large soft brush and brushed it on. It is self-leveling, so it came out okay. The only problem I ran into is that it congealed in a couple of spots, and I had to strip it and do it again on those areas.
Husky1943 Posted October 23, 2020 Author Posted October 23, 2020 Thanks everyone for the compliments.
Cpt Tuttle Posted October 23, 2020 Posted October 23, 2020 Nice to see a stock deuce once in a while.
