VanSpence Posted September 28, 2020 Posted September 28, 2020 I love dune buggies and Kit Cars and all the interesting things you can do with a VW frame. I wanted to see what the old Revell VW frame and pan was like and if it had any comparison the the AMT Meyers Manx or the IMC VW Beatle are they were all kind of done around the same time. Turns out this engine is terrible and even the included corvair engine doesn't really make this a great kit but that being said, it was a blast to put it together. Some wires and some mods to the transmission mounts and you have a decent little dune buggy. Next dune buggy is going to be the AMT version but for now, this will have to do. Thanks for looking. Spencer
Dann Tier Posted September 30, 2020 Posted September 30, 2020 Nice looking buggy!!!!....love that engine detail!!!

Thanks for saying Dann, the engine was so small and had some pretty lacking detail but then it is a kit from the 70's I believe so understandable. I do like how it ended up tho!
David G. Posted October 5, 2020 Posted October 5, 2020 Very Cool! Love the scroll work. I put Hippy flower decals all over mine. David G.
doorsovdoon Posted October 5, 2020 Posted October 5, 2020 Very nice. I don't think I've ever seen a real one.
unclescott58 Posted August 13, 2022 Posted August 13, 2022 (edited) I’ve just started building mine. From what I’m seeing, I think AMT’s Meyers’ Manx is a better kit. But I still I’m looking forward to building mine. And I hope it turns half as good as yours. Edited August 13, 2022 by unclescott58
