VanSpence Posted September 28, 2020 Posted September 28, 2020 I love these kits from Aoshima and all the options you have for building them. This one was part of the Grand Champion series with the flares and the deep dish rims but I opted for a more 'stock' looking build with just some subtle rims and a decent amount of lowering. With so many headlight, taillight, and interior options, you can buy the kit several times over and come out with a completely different looking car each time. Thanks for looking Spencer

Modlbldr Posted October 2, 2020 Posted October 2, 2020 I like that a lot! Glad you went more the stock route than adding the flares (not that I dont like them). It has a great look to it. Is this the kit with the brown car on the box? Been thinking of getting that kit. Later-
Spottedlaurel Posted October 2, 2020 Posted October 2, 2020 Nice one, looks really good. I have a couple of these to do, an older issue with the facelift car on the box art and the more recent release which contains some nicely moulded standard alloy wheels. In some ways I think the saloon looks better as a 1:1 than the coupe. I had a coupe on the road for nine years and I never could get used to its sloping bootlid. I bought and sold another coupe which was in a very similar yellow to your build.
Funkychiken Posted October 2, 2020 Posted October 2, 2020 cool little car, never seen one built up, and yours is a very sharp build.
BeakDoc Posted October 3, 2020 Posted October 3, 2020 Awesome! Nice, clean build. Great paint finish too.

Later- It is the kit you are thinking. I like the flairs but I do kind of prefer the more stock look with a low stance. I will for sure be getting more of these types of kits and building them all kinds of ways. On 10/2/2020 at 6:09 AM, Spottedlaurel said: Nice one, looks really good. I like the 4-door a lot, on all the old Skyline models and I am pretty sure I will be building more of various years and styles. Lucky to have had any 1:1 stuff. I only had a lowly 710 estate. ? I think it ended up just right! ?
doorsovdoon Posted October 3, 2020 Posted October 3, 2020 Very nice and awesome colour. There's a guy on eBay UK selling loads of these Aoshima kits, and pretty cheap too. I've never seen them before so might pick one or two up!

Mr. Turbo Posted October 7, 2020 Posted October 7, 2020 Nice work! Perfect 70's feel - is that a custom-mixed color?
