Quiet Eric Posted October 8, 2020 Posted October 8, 2020 This is the first new kit I put together after starting building again. Built 95% box stock save for a couple minor accuracy changes. First Moebius kit I'd ever done and was mostly impressed with the quality. 1
Misha Posted October 8, 2020 Posted October 8, 2020 Eric, you have achieved a great looking replica of Nicholson’s Comet, congrats! Cheers Misha
Snake45 Posted October 8, 2020 Posted October 8, 2020 Very nice indeed! I hope mine turns out that well when I get around to building it. Well done and model on!
larman Posted October 9, 2020 Posted October 9, 2020 Nice job! Love your builds! Did you move the front wheels forward? Most of the builds I see of this model look like the wheels are too far back, yours doesn't.

It looked to me from pictures of the 1:1 that they had been radiused slightly. When assembling the thing, the front end looked way too high to me so I ripped the spindles back out and flipped them over and side to side to get the front end down. In retrospect...looking at old pictures of the car, it does look like the front end did sat pretty high and I probably should have left it. However I was using reference pictures of the restored car which appears to have a slight nose-down rake. As far as the wheelbase...this kit took a good bit of work fitting the interior and chassis to the body to line up correctly. I bet there are a lot of these built out of the box with the fit issues left as is.
Deuces ll Posted October 11, 2020 Posted October 11, 2020 Looks GREAT!.... ? I can't wait to get started on on my build....
