landman
Many of you have seen my shop diorama which consists of a garage/restoration shop, an engine rebuilding shop complete with dyno room and receiving area.
landman
Later on I had used a photo of a local building to depict the front of the establishment.
landman
Now I want to do a "behind the shop" scene loosely based on fellow member Geoffrey Wallace. A piece of plywood and the center panels of some cabinet doors provided the starting point. Gave a first coat of "cement" to the yard
Anglia105E
Good start, Pat...... and this ' Behind the Shop ' diorama base looks a good size too. Looking forward to seeing your progress with this one. David

Anglia105E
The end panel looks really good from the inside, Pat......... you seem to be well organised at this early stage! David
landman
The end panel has its brick, door , signage etc. i even gave it a sky although I doubt any pictures would show it.
landman
Used the hooded bulletin board from one of the Fujimi garage sets to make a notice board. Added a fluorescent light to it. A couple of plugs, pins and beads will turn into lamps.
landman
The shelf stand will likely hold some trannies. Edited October 25, 2020 by landman
Sixties Sam
Great work on all of these! Very realistic! Sam
landman
Coming together. The tranny rack will have an overhang roof over it. I have to figure something for the bottom of the overhead door. I may remove it and repaint it as the red came through the aluminum paint. Dominik
well done so far. looks realistic with all the signs and textures
landman
Danke Dominik. I've added a "steel" plate at the bottom of the roll-up door and a "cement" pad in front of the man door. Also laying out the shelter for the transmission rack.
landman
The shelter is composed of square styrene tubing, sprue, popsicle sticks and a sheet of stiff paper. It will receive the same corrugated "siding" as the side of the builsing. Edited November 17, 2020 by landman
