Hello everyone, I’m Joey. I started building model cars as a teen, mostly muscle cars. As I grew older I started driving a Semi, then became a firefighter and finally joined the military until I became seriously injured in a cycling crash and deemed disabled. Now, I build models that reflect my younger, glory days. I enjoy building heavy trucks, mostly custom, occasionally stock, fire engines occasionally, military aircraft in 1/24 and 1/48 scale. I still love my muscle cars. Everything car and truck related that I build is 1/24 and 1/25 scale. I joined this forum to take my ADD fueled craziness to the next level. I hope I can share some of my creations with you. I’m really looking forward to chatting with everyone!

Welcome Joey, I just joined myself as well.

Also just moved from Al to Montana in April, didn't live to far from you and worked really near to Leeds at the Porsche dealer in Irondale.

Hello everyone, thank you all so much for the warm welcome! Thatz4u I think you are right, you know your history! Alford McLaughlin and William Lawley also called Leeds their home town. And if you know your basketball, I live less than a mile from Charles Barkley’s childhood home. Gap Hill Speed Shop, you’re not too far from me!
