Chevy II Posted November 13, 2020 Posted November 13, 2020 Looking for ideas on how to paint the recessed Ford logo on a set of hub caps I'm using. The logo is too small to paint by hand, but large enough to show up. I have tried using a felt pen and wiping off the excess, but it also removes the recessed portion too. Any ideas would be appreciated.
Bills72sj Posted November 13, 2020 Posted November 13, 2020 Thin down your chosen color of paint to the consistency of Tamiya panel line paint. Use a frayed toothpick as a wick/brush and apply it to the center cap. This assumes of course the is a perimeter ridge like a Cragar S/S cap.
GeeBee Posted November 13, 2020 Posted November 13, 2020 I did mine pretty much the way Bill mentioned, although I used a 10/0 artist brush, picked up the paint on the brush and let capillary action do the job.
