doorsovdoon Posted December 1, 2020 Posted December 1, 2020 Super nice build, I love this kit but hard to find here now. Great work on the 3D printing!
AMT68 Posted December 9, 2020 Posted December 9, 2020 Beautiful build and you gotta love the round headlight Monte Carlos from this era. I have four of the Revell 77 Monte Carlo kits and this is quite interesting. 1

The rear, I modeled from just below the trunk lip, tail lights and rear bumper. Both 74 and 75 are done and working on a 73 conversion. Last I will do a 76 conversion which will be super minor, basically grille and tail lights as I believe the bumpers are the same as the 77. If not, they will be corrected also. My goal is to have 73 - 77 Monte Carlos. I have 5 Revell 77 Monte kits to pull it off. I also made a bench seat to fit in that kit because I never had those fancy swivel buckets. My version 4 now has clear lens headlights. Tremendous work! ...and the parts show it!
Zippi Posted December 4, 2021 Posted December 4, 2021 Great looking Monte. My favorite color is blue so I'm really liking this one.
doorsovdoon Posted December 5, 2021 Posted December 5, 2021 I've been looking for another of these since I built one a year ago or so, but they're as hard to find as hens teeth. Although a very simplified kit the box art just doesn't do this kit justice.
Bills72sj Posted December 5, 2021 Posted December 5, 2021 Very nice build. Thank you for sharing. I was on the hunt for a new ride in '85. A mid 70's Monte was on my short list. I found a dark blue one for sale but the front suspension was bent bad due to an encounter with a ditch. I passed on it. I do have the 77 snapper in my stash and it will be done in dark metallic blue.
Spottedlaurel Posted December 6, 2021 Posted December 6, 2021 Very nice conversion and build. The mid '70s Monto Carlo is one of the few American cars I remember as a 1:1 from my youth, we had someone living down the road who must have worked on one of the USAF bases and they had one in the early-mid '80s.

iwantmodels Posted January 23 Posted January 23 Love this! I'll always be crazy about Personal Luxury cars. I wish there were more available. I know there are some resin kits (which look great btw) but they are a bit too pricey for me. A great article on this class of cars was done a while back by Tim Boyd in Scale Auto.
RACINE ISHRAQUR RAZA Posted January 31 Posted January 31 Great model! Love everything that went into this creation!
