I am nearing the end of the interior build for my 427 SOHC 67 Mustang race car. I am looking to add a chrome fire extinguisher to it.

I have a number of Muscle car and Semi truck kits to pilfer. Does anyone know which kits have an extinguisher?

The old monogram 40 Ford truck kit has a chrome fire extinguisher in it. It also has some Chrome tools and a first aid kit as well.

Are you looking for interior extinguisher as in the NASCAR kits or stand alone extinguisher? If alone, I think the visible car carrier tool set had a chrome extinguisher.

Here are some stand alone extinguishers:

Racers wedge is coming back out soon.

I would think you could put a request for one here on the Forum. Just about every AMT kit of old had them in every kit. I'm sure someone would have one to donate tp your build.

I have had the privilege of being the recipient of such offers before. I am trying to avoid inconveniencing anyone.

Unfortunately I do not have that one either.

That is on my wish list. But I am fast approaching inserting the interior tub into the body stage.

I checked a NASCAR kit I will never build and it does have one, but it is not chrome or have the old school handle I am looking for. Thanks for the idea though.

Doozy (AK Interactive) makes this neat set with 2 well-detailed extinguishers, some oil cans and boxes.  It's resin and sort of pricy, around $28. ScaleHobbyist and other online vendors often have it for a few bucks less.

That is kinda spendy. Besides I already have a diorama full of goodies already. Thanks for sharing. I have never seen that set.

Pretty  easy to make one, from a piece of sprue, and some odd bits. I made this one, but,  it's aluminum. Still, the material doesn't matter, in this case. The plastic one here is from Johan's Roadrunner.

The Revell '68 2'n1 Dodge Charger kit has one that's molded onto the roll bar.... But that one needs to be chrome painted.....

THANKS for the tip. Any attempt I make would not turn out that nice.

I have Jeepsters spread out on my table next to my work bench. There is indeed a fire extinguisher in the chrome tree. I’m not using it and it’s no bother at all to toss in the mail. PM me your addy and it’s on it’s way!
