StevenGuthmiller Posted December 24, 2020 Posted December 24, 2020 This has been pretty standard for me over the past couple of years. The low "finished" count is due solely to the higher level of detail I've begun putting into these builds. But I've been having a lot of fun rebuilding interiors and swapping chassis and engines, so it's worth not getting as much accomplished. Steve
bbowser Posted December 24, 2020 Posted December 24, 2020 Outstanding work, incredible replicas! I'm partial to the Grand Prix.
BeakDoc Posted December 24, 2020 Posted December 24, 2020 You sure made the 2 for 2020 count! Stunning work as always, Steve. Happy Holidays.
Dragonhawk1066 Posted December 25, 2020 Posted December 25, 2020 A couple of incredible builds! Your detailing is amazing!
johnz Posted December 25, 2020 Posted December 25, 2020 the extra time is well worth it, great builds
lghtngyello03 Posted December 25, 2020 Posted December 25, 2020 Quality over quantity! These could pass for real cars for sure!
olschoolkid Posted December 25, 2020 Posted December 25, 2020 Those are great looking builds. I like both of them, but I am really liking the Olds. The color choice and the black top just really set it off.
Tom Geiger Posted December 25, 2020 Posted December 25, 2020 (edited) No apology needed! Two superb models that challenged you and you infused with a bit of your soul! Edited December 25, 2020 by Tom Geiger
Dragline Posted December 25, 2020 Posted December 25, 2020 Only two can be forgiven when they come out like that Steve.
Danno Posted December 25, 2020 Posted December 25, 2020 Both are spectacular! But the Cutlass scored big time twice in the dscV16 - DESERT SCALE CLASSIC VIRTUAL CHAMPIONSHIP! Best Factory Stock AND Best Interior Master Award! Congratulations, Steve!!! May 2021 also be a big year for you. ??
TooOld Posted December 25, 2020 Posted December 25, 2020 As long as you are enjoying it I say keep on building ! Really looking forward to your two next year !
donb Posted December 25, 2020 Posted December 25, 2020 In my view, as close to the real deal as they come. Superb builds.
GeeBee Posted December 25, 2020 Posted December 25, 2020 Superb builds, quality over quantity wins every time.
espo Posted December 25, 2020 Posted December 25, 2020 I have enjoyed watching the great lengths you have gone to with these two builds. Way beyond my patience level. Depending on the background setting it can be hard to tell if they aren't a real car or not.
doorsovdoon Posted December 25, 2020 Posted December 25, 2020 I really enjoyed watching the Pontiac come together, and I remember being just blown away by the finished result. These are the kind of builds I really get inspired by. looking forward to seeing what you have for us in the new year.
Hmann68 Posted December 26, 2020 Posted December 26, 2020 Quality over quantity as they say! Just awesome builds!
Bernard Kron Posted December 26, 2020 Posted December 26, 2020 Every year at this time I get to look back at the, usually, pair of superb showroom stock models that are your trademark. It's everything that's right about this style of building and it gives me the opportunity to comment on how much I enjoy them. Regardless of what style we build in, this level of care and detail in execution should be an inspiration to us all. The the best for a healthy, happy and productive 2021.
Bills72sj Posted December 27, 2020 Posted December 27, 2020 Steve, your quality just blow me away. Consider yourself an inspiration me (and others). Bill
TransAmMike Posted December 27, 2020 Posted December 27, 2020 Steven, those a two beautiful builds...I thought you did more than those 2 tho. Anyway, they look great?
Geno Posted December 27, 2020 Posted December 27, 2020 Yeah but they are 2 amazing builds Steve. You inspire me.?
Steve H Posted December 27, 2020 Posted December 27, 2020 Hi Steve, safe to say you inspire us all. Absolutely beautiful and incredibly well detailed, realistic builds. By the way, thanks for the info on the embossing powder. I had used black for carpet before and had no idea all the colours it came in until reading one of your posts. Your interiors are quite simply, amazing. Thanks for the inspiration! Cheers, Steve
