Scale-Master Posted January 5, 2021 Posted January 5, 2021 1/72 scale Hasegawa kit. Mostly finished with Tamiya paints. Warbird decals woodgrain for the props. Fun build; not perfect and questionably accurate, but worth the time for me to put it together.
mustang1989 Posted January 5, 2021 Posted January 5, 2021 It's a very rare occasion when I see one of these built and this one turned out great for a fun build.
bisc63 Posted January 6, 2021 Posted January 6, 2021 Nice! What a great piece to have on your shelf; a real attention grabber!
peteski Posted January 6, 2021 Posted January 6, 2021 That is a weird, but very interesting looking aircraft. Beautifully done! To me it seems unusual to see wooden-blade props on this type of airplane.
Scale-Master Posted January 6, 2021 Author Posted January 6, 2021 Thanks guys! The wood props aren't as odd to me as it having nose art and never actually flying, let alone put into service. As if its unproven unique design wasn't enough, it was also a victim of the jet age (it had two piston engines) and WWII had ended, so it had two strikes against it before it ever could take off.

Yes, if you dig deeper into it then all you've mentioned is odd. But on a first glance, the wooden props struck me as odd.
