AMT 1949 Ford Shoebox Custom

Another custom project i started in 2003. Leaved all in a box with some Wheel and Panel combinations i think i found my style now.?

I don´t want to spend to much time on the engine and chassis build so this will be a little simple.

Some nice slicing and dicing.  The coupe look is definitely different, looking forward to where this one goes.

Great work shortening the roof. Are you going to change the back edge of the door jam or leave as is ?  You had one picture doing a mock up that had the extended front fenders and quad headlights. As you may know the Convertible kit has the matching longer Hood if you build this with that front end. The added Drip Moldings also look good on this.

Hello David,

thank you very much. I don´t plan to change the doors back edge becuase that means i had to rework the interieur. As told i don´t want to spend to much time on that model. I just want to get it finished nice and clean because i had plans for another version. But i wanted to finish that first. It´s more to train my modelling skills ?

I didn´t know that the Convertible Hood is longer. Thanks for that.

Very nice work! I really like the idea of the shortened roof. Add an insert for a small bed/ pickup box behind the rear window for a custom Ranchero look! Just spit ballin. Looks great so far.

I may have miss stated the length of the Convertible Hood. The stock Hoods will interchange between it and your coupe. You had a mock up picture with the Quad Headlight build option. and in the picture you had the stock Hood in place. Should you use that front fender extension the kit includes a Hood that is longer than the stock one and has a leading edge that would match the fenders.
