cobraman Posted January 27, 2021 Posted January 27, 2021 Waiting for better weather to do the painting on the Meggaa Hauler I’m working on so I thought I would do some prep on this one . Body is pretty nice but needed a fair amount of clean up . Kit comes with the body , chassis plate , lower engine , rear bumper and front bumper grill . I will be using tires and wheels from a semi tractor . I had to do quite a bit of mods to the chassis plate to fit the tires and still need to do a little more trimming . Kit also comes with window material . No interior details included . I am making a drivers compartment but side windows will be blacked out . Not up to trying to build a complete interior .
NOBLNG Posted January 27, 2021 Posted January 27, 2021 (edited) Cool project! Looks like He makes some pretty nice stuff...and You do also! Edited January 29, 2021 by NOBLNG
alan barton Posted January 29, 2021 Posted January 29, 2021 Gotta a bit of push-me-pull-you action goin' on there, Ray? This will be interesting! Cheers Alan
cobraman Posted January 29, 2021 Author Posted January 29, 2021 Thanks guys. Yes Alan, your right the front does look like the back.
MeatMan Posted January 29, 2021 Posted January 29, 2021 Sweet project! I have the White Cabover body which has the identical front end. I'll have to get that.
cobraman Posted January 29, 2021 Author Posted January 29, 2021 Thanks Dennis. Did you build or start your Cabover ? If so is it posted here anywhere ?
cobraman Posted January 29, 2021 Author Posted January 29, 2021 Managed to get some paint on this one . Just a start. Needs a bit more of this color. upper section will be white . Bumpers white also I think .
Steve H Posted January 31, 2021 Posted January 31, 2021 Hi Ray, great looking bus! I love seeing unusual projects like this. Maybe a titanium/charcoal grey colour for the bumpers? Just a thought. The body colour is a great choice. Cheers, Steve
cobraman Posted January 31, 2021 Author Posted January 31, 2021 Thanks ! I hope to paint the white roof today if it keeps on warming up.
cobraman Posted January 31, 2021 Author Posted January 31, 2021 I did manage to squirt some paint on the bus .
cobraman Posted January 31, 2021 Author Posted January 31, 2021 Thank you Jim. Another "oddball" build for me.
cobraman Posted February 5, 2021 Author Posted February 5, 2021 Getting pretty close to finishing up the bus . Mostly just lights and bumpers left . Cutting windows out of clear sheet was a chore for me . Side windows were ez but front , back and the curved ones up front were a lot tougher .
misterNNL Posted February 6, 2021 Posted February 6, 2021 Great model of another unique Flintstone resin offering. Thanks for sharing.
Steve H Posted February 6, 2021 Posted February 6, 2021 What bus doesn’t look cool with tinted windows?!
cobraman Posted February 6, 2021 Author Posted February 6, 2021 Thank you guys. Black out windows due to the fact I was too lazy to try and build a full interior.

Looks great the way it is Ray. Around here most bus windows are tinted anymore. So not Lazy just building with the times.
MeatMan Posted February 7, 2021 Posted February 7, 2021 Really sweet! Awesome job!. Kinda scary though. I'm painting the White cabover I'm working on pretty much the same colors except more white than brown on mine.
cobraman Posted February 7, 2021 Author Posted February 7, 2021 This one is done and pics will be in the under glass section soon if interested .
Steve H Posted February 9, 2021 Posted February 9, 2021 Hi Ray, looks awesome. I love the big exhaust tip too! I tend to put those on all my builds. Whether it was “lazy” or not I really think the tinted windows are cool. Would have been an enormous amount of work to build the interior. A unique build that turned out great, I will watch for it under glass sir. Cheers, Steve
slusher Posted February 9, 2021 Posted February 9, 2021 Looks great Ray, Pulaski was the name of my school. I sure you was referring to the street.."
cobraman Posted February 9, 2021 Author Posted February 9, 2021 Thanks guys. Yes Carl, Pulaski is a street in Chicago. I worked for a few years at a place near 63 rd. and Pulaski.
