HomerS Posted February 3, 2021 Posted February 3, 2021 Was there ever a model of an American phone booth? For the younger folks in the crowd, this is where us old farts went to make a call in a public place. A friend has 1/6 scale Bill & Ted so it needs to be about 15" tall.
Ramfins59 Posted February 3, 2021 Posted February 3, 2021 I believe that the old "Phone booth T" kit had a 1/25 scale phone booth. Good luck in finding one of those.
GLMFAA1 Posted February 3, 2021 Posted February 3, 2021 The old IMC dodge 'touch tone terror' had a telephone booth in the kit greg
Dragline Posted February 3, 2021 Posted February 3, 2021 If you really need one I see a scratchbuilt one in your immediate future.
kruleworld Posted February 6, 2021 Posted February 6, 2021 probably easy enough to scratchbuild from cardboard and clear acetate.

GLMFAA1 Posted February 8, 2021 Posted February 8, 2021 In regards to touch tone terror there might be somewhere in the universe a broken dusty kit sitting on a shelf to be recycled or someone of the model builders here could duplicate it. another suggestion is Pola "G" scale phone booth which would need some moifications greg

There are a few 'G' scale kits out there.....look at those.
skymnky721 Posted February 8, 2021 Posted February 8, 2021 I do remember using phone booths and then they evolved into wall mounted clam shells with a phone in it,,and not too long after,,,the cell phone
GLMFAA1 Posted February 9, 2021 Posted February 9, 2021 I have some where in my stash the "Stroker McGurg" phone booth which in my opinion the booth is larger to fit the figure in it and not to scale. If I find it I will measure the booth. Don't know if these are the same kit base greg

Tom Geiger Posted February 10, 2021 Posted February 10, 2021 Wow! That's a classic old phone booth... I can almost smell pee! So Jeff, buy that and copy it. Then resell it. Problem solved!
Howard Cohen Posted February 10, 2021 Posted February 10, 2021 When 'Scale Modeling by Chris' was around, before he passed away, he made a 25th scale telephone booth. You could also check with doll house stores for 12th scale.

GLMFAA1 Posted February 10, 2021 Posted February 10, 2021 I have no idea where I got the tall T. I did go through the stash and found the remnants of my original. Here are some pics A little bit larger than what the dimension mentioned in the auction of 34x33x88 greg
