This is the 24-Hour Build. Ended up being about 31 hours, but no biggie.

Paint is Tamiya Champagne Gold over Humbrol Desert Tan. It details nicely with some painting. The Michelin XW4 tires are some of the nicest tires I've ever seen on a model car.

Overall, a nice kit. The wipers and taillights were a bit too fiddly for my liking, though.

Enjoy.

Nice job Charlie! And it was fun building with ya in the Zoom room!  The important part is that you participated and brought the project to completion!

You know my passion for that generation Caravan!  Per the fiddly parts, things like wipers I drill and pin. And all the lights on the Caravans, I sanded the pins off backs, BMFed the backs and white glued in place. That way I didn’t have to deal with that press fit nor see the peg on the finished van

Great looking van, hard to think it only took you 31 hours. Great level of detail for such a short time.

Very nice.  But only 31 hours to build it?

Curbside snap-kit with excellent engraving, which made detail painting a snap. I used almost all lacquers and acrylics, with Model Master Panzer Gray for the accent panels on the bottom (and a little Vallejo acrylic of the same color for a touch-up paint.

If my other van ever turns up, I'll be using this as a learning experience. I also want to do it in either Island Teal or the Medium Blue. I left the pins on the headlights on because I found it helped me. The passenger-side taillight, though, was weird. It was almost like something was mis-sized and it simply would not stay put.

Pins can be funny.. if too tight, take your exacto blade and twirl it in the hole, carefully.. one twist, check for fit. Repeat as necessarily until you get it in.

If too loose, glue it in place from behind

Very nicely done!

I can't show that to my wife though or she'd have me looking for that kit to build a replica of one she drove until the wheels fell off!

Looks good, Charlie!  I have the Illinois State Police version that I am going to build as a stock Caravan and use the Police bits on the AMT Dodge Ram 2500.
