62SS Posted November 26, 2008 Posted November 26, 2008 Very cool. I have a 60 that I'm just getting started on. Who makes this body? I'll be watching this one so keep the progress pics coming. Ed
Irvin Arter Jr. Posted November 26, 2008 Author Posted November 26, 2008 yes it is a Modelhaus resin body
RodBurNeR Posted November 26, 2008 Posted November 26, 2008 Irv, this looks great so far! Reminds me of something i would see in Custom Rodder in recent years....man that magazine was good!
Thor Posted November 26, 2008 Posted November 26, 2008 WOW...... nice color combo. and a very cool engine to use. going to look ultra cool. except i would lower the roof rack a little. but a nice touch. Thor
John Goschke Posted November 26, 2008 Posted November 26, 2008 Love it! Beautiful color and great engine choice!
VW Dave Posted November 26, 2008 Posted November 26, 2008 i would lower the roof rack a little Just lower the front of it, and call it the 'Arter rack.' Very slick longroof, Irv; me likey. I never thought I'd say this to a man, but nice rack.
Brian Nehring Posted November 26, 2008 Posted November 26, 2008 Very nice Irvin, every time I see your work I'm inspired. Brian Nehring
Ron Hamilton Posted November 26, 2008 Posted November 26, 2008 Loving it, Irv. I have to build mine someday.
Peter Lombardo Posted November 26, 2008 Posted November 26, 2008 That looks really good, nice build so far. I like that color combo; In fact I used it on my Chrysler 300c Coupe from a few years ago. Look at picture number 4 in the progression. I think the reflection of the lines of the work cutting board look really good on the side of the car. Maybe some graphics on there would look good….just a thought because of the reflection. Also like the home made roof rack, that is different. Very cool. Just needs a surfboard or two...hang ten daddy-o surf dog.
Lyle Willits Posted November 26, 2008 Posted November 26, 2008 Very cool. I guess Irv is getting ready for the 2010 Calendar.
Tom Kren Posted November 26, 2008 Posted November 26, 2008 Looks great ghost flames maybe? Congrats for the cover of the calander and good to see ya building again!
Irvin Arter Jr. Posted November 28, 2008 Author Posted November 28, 2008 thanks guys! I am thnkng about different tires and wheels. Maybe white walls and chrome reverse wheels
ScrappyJ Posted November 28, 2008 Posted November 28, 2008 Looking good, Irv! I like the color combo too.
E St. Kruiser50 Posted November 28, 2008 Posted November 28, 2008 WOW !!! What a beautiful start As some of you know, I'm a color kinda guy, and these color's really grab me, as well as the longroof style of this build. Can't wait to see more pics and follow the progress. Happy Thanksgiving - Dave
Irvin Arter Jr. Posted December 4, 2008 Author Posted December 4, 2008 I wanted to do something different in the inside so I made a cover for the backseat and rear out of styrene and half round strips. 4 each row, 2 rows total. I also drilled out the Revell Impala dash for gauges Here is a few shots of it in the car but its hard to see enjoy!
