philo426 Posted February 17, 2021 Posted February 17, 2021 Opened up my Porsche 962 kit and it had no suspension or engine detail!I expected a Tamiya level full detail kit!The only way to make this unassembed toy even remotely interesting was to paint it in Gulf Livery.
Jonathan Posted February 23, 2021 Posted February 23, 2021 I think these have always been curbside kits. That is, the entire series. https://www.scalemates.com/kits/hasegawa-cc-9-porsche-962c--188762 They can look great on the shelf; but they really are an exercise in paint and decals.
niteowl7710 Posted February 26, 2021 Posted February 26, 2021 FWIW even Tamiya's 962C is a curbside devoid of any detail. Possibly worse since it's a repurposed R/C body and comes with the window glass and headlight covers glued in from the factory. If you have questions about a model kit, there are literally hundreds of people who can answer them before you purchase something, the Hasegawa 962 is 32 years at this point, it's a known commodity.
Dave Van Posted February 26, 2021 Posted February 26, 2021 The curbside kit is WHY i like it. I get them when I just want to build a simple quick build.
