Good paint scheme Philip. Curbsides such as these offer a different challenge, as interiors and mostly exterior detail becomes the focus. Hasegawa, Fujimi, and Tamiya offer amazing detail and quality molding of the various road racers. At my age I’ve become more accustomed to build these as greater detailing with paint, P/E, and weathering become more of a challenge and the time to completion is greatly shortened.

I would encourage your build as you’re off to a great start with an original scheme, as these Porsches were run by many privateers.
Cheers Misha

Ya know as , I'm kinda thinking the same thing about the curbside thing. For me, only my wife, daughter and myself see the results of my labor. They know diddly about engines and undercarriages but do like to look at cool cars. Sure, all the detailing looks great and there is impressive work being done but is it really worth all the extra effort, at least in my case for a model that is just gonna be put on a shelf?

My rant for the day?

I like your choice of liveries!

I finished one of these not too long ago using Hobbitime's IMSA conversion and Indycals decals.

It's an old kit (1989), so it has fit issues (see the headlight covers?) and the mold quality isn't up to what we're seeing coming from Tamiya and Nunu these days, but it still builds up into a good looking model. Personally, I prefer curbsides, because I don't like detailing engines and open hoods break up the lines of the car. Cars are a break from detailing 1/48 airplanes for me, so I'm usually looking for something simple.
