An oldie kit my sister did when we were kids. I acquired the same kit from a batch of model car kits I bought from a fellow member in another forum I frequent at.

The box cover:

The finished build. I painted it using Createx Pearlized Orange.

Very VERY cool! I've two glue bombs of these from which I hope to get one complete one together, and one custom Vette of my own design. Well done and model on! B)

Great looking Box Art and the paint finish looks great as well. I never realized how much the tail lights remind someone of the '70's Ford Torino GT tail lamps.

Just about my favorite kit as a kid... I built and destroyed many. I was lucky to get an unbuilt kit a few years ago and built it the way it should be....Great job on this one!!!

I remember this being sold as Tom Daniel's personal Corvette as one version.
I tried to order it from our local model shop(I'm in the UK) but at the time they said Monogram would only send them a few boxes of various models and only the most popular. So it was bit of a hit or miss, we usually got the show cars from Monogram, some such as the Li'l Coffin and Rommel's Rod.
There may have been a change of export management as a couple of years later lots of hot rods and others became available especially the Early Iron series.

Thank you for the kind words. There are 3 other vintage Corvette kits I’d love to do again from my youth & teen years - Monogram Corvette SS (the yellow one), MPC Vette Van and the AMT Eckler’s Corvette Hatchback.
