Any tips on how to repair clear plastic window scratches.  Do not want to buy another kit just for the windows.  Thank you in advance!

Easy polished out. I use cheap Wright's Silver Cream, a silver polish available in the cleaning stuff aisle at Walmart. Also works great to polish paint.

This '62 MY Pontiac Tempest Tribute Glue Bomb Rescue is where I honed my Glass Restoration procedure . It had Glue smears and drops on both sides .  The Next Glass set I used a Clearcoat . If does reject the Yellowing Process as it aged . Progressive usage of from course to find sanding papers . 400 was the start . 1200 was the last step . Thanx .

I would use the polishing kit to do this where the abrasive cloths are from 1800 to 12000 grit and finishing of with Novus

For very fine/light scratches, I've actually found toothpaste works nicely. Use toothpaste, not gel. Normal toothpaste has a very fine abrasive in it, gel doesn't.

I've also used the Novus Steps 1 and 2 polishes with success.

It really all just boils down to how deep the scratch is.   Shallow scratches are relatively easy with different progressive polishes (Novus, Tamiya), while deeper scratches require good old wetsanding and patience with paper up to 12000, then finish with polish.  Be aware that scratches that are pretty deep will require a bunch of sanding and may leave a depression in the glass unless you do the entire surface.

Nelson, I agree with everything that was said previously. One thing that I didn’t see, and I Amy have missed it, is to dunk the glass in Future. This would be the last step. It is a trick that airplane modelers have used forever. I have used it myself on old, scuffed up windshields. It really does work and it works great.

Before - notice the distortion

After - the distortion is gone and the clarity is greatly improved

I use this on fine scratches and on my cases. Works great, I found it a while back looking for something for the windshield on my motorcycle.
