Captain Spaulding Posted March 1, 2021 Posted March 1, 2021 Decided what my next project would be, Revell's Starsky & Hutch Ford Torino. Don't have much done yet, painted the motor yesterday with the Ford engine blue I picked up at the flea market. Should be an easy kit to put together, I'm hoping.

Captain Spaulding Posted March 3, 2021 Author Posted March 3, 2021 Got the motor assembled and chassis painted, everything is going together good so far.

doorsovdoon Posted March 4, 2021 Posted March 4, 2021 I've built the stock version of this, it's a nice kit. The rear light panel insert needs some work but I can't quite remember what the issue was, I think there are pins on the back of it but no holes in the panel which make it stick out.

I haven't had no issues yet but thanks for the heads up bud.
Captain Spaulding Posted March 4, 2021 Author Posted March 4, 2021 Got most of the chassis assembled except for the shocks, really like the stance the kit has with the larger tires in the rear.
David G. Posted March 4, 2021 Posted March 4, 2021 I have one of these that I plan to crack into this year. As you said, it should be a fairly easy build. What you have so far looks good. Do you plan on painting or using the molded-in color? David G.

Thanks pal, had a little issue with the wheel backs going into the tire. Then I realized that both sides of the tires weren't the same. Put them on the other side and problem solved.
Captain Spaulding Posted March 8, 2021 Author Posted March 8, 2021 Got some paint on the body today, not the right color but the Testors red I had was spraying horribly on my test piece like the nozzle was clogged. Went with Ford cardinal red instead, think it will look good.

FLHCAHZ Posted March 9, 2021 Posted March 9, 2021 Looking good! Is the decal all one piece, are you going to clear over the decal??

Thanks pal, decal is in 3 pieces so should make applying it easy. Not planning on clearing over it, I've never had any issues with them staying.
